Day 9: Jackson Hole, WY

I woke up this morning ready to go. One of the benefits of this road trip is that I'll get to cross so many states off my "been there" list, and Idaho is only about a half hour west of Jackson.

The only thing is, you gotta go over a mountain range to get there.

This is a lot steeper than it looks. Sign said 10 degree incline but it felt like driving straight up a wall.

Worth it for the view.

Been there.

After my morning drive I went back to the hotel room and got some work done for a couple hours until checkout at 11am. Then I got to spend some time walking around the historic downtown.

The ski slopes pretty much go directly into the town.

There's a little park at the center of town and each corner entrance has one of the famous Elk Antler Arches. They're shed every spring and Boy Scouts traverse the wilderness to collect them.

Got lunch at a little brewery in town. After that, spent some time walking through a park and some easy trails but otherwise it was a low key afternoon. Much needed after all of yesterday's excitement.
