Day 17: Peoria, IL

I shifted back to Central Time over the weekend and I do not like it. It was great starting work at 6/6:30 every day and finishing around 2-3pm my time. Felt like I had a whole second day after work.

Today, I had a team meeting at 7:30c and the day just dragged on from there. Many client calls. I wrapped up around 4:30 and hit the road from Des Moines. 

I originally considered going through Springfield or even St. Louis but a 6 hour drive after a full workday just didn't appeal to me. I headed to Peoria instead.

More green, rolling hills and farmland. Many windmills. Not much of anything else.

Arrived in Peoria around 8:30. Got a room at the Four Points for super cheap. I learned the hard way that if two hotels are comparable, pay the extra $10-$15 for the chance at better WiFi which I'll need for work tomorrow. I got this one for $68.
